“Do you make everything in Australia?”

Yes, rest assured you’re purchasing an authentic Australian made product. Everything is hand crafted by Emily Becher in her Kensington studio on the outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria.

“What currency are your products listed in?”

All of our products are listed in Australian Dollars. Quotes will also be given in Australian dollars.

“Why don’t you have every item in stock and ready to ship?”

Everything is made to order by Emily herself which means that items can be tailor made to your size and customized if required. We don’t compromise on quality for speed.

“Do you sell gift certificates?”

Yes we do. Please take a look at our gift certificate information.

“Can I find your jewellery anywhere else?”

You’re currently visiting Emily Becher’s only shop, open 24/7 for your convenience. But we do understand that the tactile nature of jewellery often calls for seeing and feeling it in the flesh. Emily’s jewellery is showcased throughout Australia with different collections between each store, check out our list of stockists.

“How can I find out what my ring size is?”

When you place an order or request a quote with Emily Becher Jewellery we will immediately post you a ring sizer to accurately measure your finger to confirm your size

“How can I find out what my bangle/bracelet size is?”

“How do I look after my jewellery?”

“How do I find out when you design something new?”

The best way to stay up to date is to join our mailing list so that you don’t miss out on new product launches, exclusive offers and special events. Other ways to stay up to date with what’s new is to follow our blog, facebook, Instagram, pinterest or twitter.

“How environmentally considerate are Emily Becher’s products?”

The highest possible quality of all materials are featured in Emily Becher’s products. Where possible, Emily preferences locally-produced materials and purchases from metal suppliers that guarantee that over 90% of their metal is recycled. All materials purchased to make the products have been ethically sourced with the least possible affect to the environment.

Custom orders

“Do you take custom orders?”

Yes, Emily is passionate about creating jewellery that is as unique and distinctive as her valued customers. She thoroughly enjoys working together with a client to design and create a custom piece, utilizing her perfectionist eye for detail and contemporary design flair to bring to life beautiful bespoke pieces that are forever cherished by her clients.

“How do I place a custom order?”

Whether you have something specific in mind or only a vague idea of what you are wanting to have made, Emily is able to guide you through the process. The best place to start is to book an appointment to meet with Emily at her Kensington workshop.

“What if I’m not in Melbourne and can’t get to Emily’s Workshop in Kensington for a consultation?”

Not to worry. Whilst the process is easier when able to consult with clients face to face, Emily is able to consult via emails, telephone and skype which means that wherever you are in the world you too can commission a custom made piece of Emily Becher Jewellery. Simply contact us with your enquiry to get started.

“Do you make wedding and engagement rings?”

Yes. Emily delights in crafting wedding and engagement rings. Creating such meaningful jewellery that will be worn every day and cherished forever is incredibly special to be involved in and she understands that once-in-a-lifetime moments call for meaningful pieces to match. You can find some examples of Engagement and Wedding Rings in our online shop which can be altered to suit your style or Emily can custom design and make your perfect rings.

“Can you make an item like this other persons?”

Emily can design within a particular style or incorporate elements that you love from someone else’s work to create a unique piece however, under no circumstances will Emily directly copy another artists work.

“Can I modify an existing design from your shop?”

Because every item is handmade to order we do offer flexibility with designs. Beyond the options of choosing between patinas, finishes and chain lengths, you can request additional changes to customize your jewellery to suit your style. Whether you want the piece made in gold instead of silver or would like diamonds or coloured stones set into one of the designs, there are no limits to your imagination so we always try and make your desires a reality when it comes to buying a piece of Emily Becher Jewellery. Please contact us about any enquiries you have regarding modifying an existing design.

Shipping and packaging

“Do you ship outside of Australia?”

Yes, all international deliveries are sent via Australia Post (unless otherwise organized), which means your order can be posted almost anywhere in the world.

“Is my order trackable?”

Yes, all Emily Becher Jewellery orders are trackable and require a signature on delivery.

“How long do deliveries take to arrive once posted?”

Once your package has been safely dropped off at the post office, deliveries within Australia usually arrive in 1 to 3 working days. The timeframe is dependent on whether your location is within the Australia Post guaranteed Next Business Day Delivery network. International deliveries usually arrive in 10 to 12 working days. These timeframes are a guide only and exclude weekends and public holidays.

In addition to shipping, do remember to allow some time for your jewellery to be handmade to order. Some items on our website require between 3 to 12 working days to be handmade. Custom designs will take more than 12 days which will be discussed at the time of ordering. To make sure your order arrives on time it’s always best to plan ahead, especially around busy times like Christmas!

“What happens if my order is delayed at customs?”

From time to time, international packages may be held up at customs which can affect delivery timeframes. If this happens, we just have to exercise a little patience and trust that the order will be delivered soon. Customs and duty fees may apply and are the responsibility of the buyer.

“How will my jewellery be packaged?”

Every Item you purchase from us will arrive packaged in a branded Emily Becher Jewellery Box. This will be wrapped in bubblewrap and or a padded bag to protect your purchase in transit.

“Do you offer gift wrapping?”

We offer free gift wrapping and a handwritten card with your delivery. Please specify if you require this in the comments section at checkout.

Returns and exchanges

“What is your return policy?”

Making sure that you’re happy with your purchase is a top priority. If you’re unhappy with your order for whatever reason, please feel free to contact us within 3 days of receiving your package to organize an exchange, store credit or (where applicable) a refund, subject to our returns and exchanges policy.Pierced earrings, gift certificates and custom orders are excluded.

“I’m buying an item for someone as a gift, what if it they don’t like it?”

All items except pierced earrings, gift certificates and custom orders can be exchanged for a store credit of the purchase price (minus shipping costs), exchanged for a different item or replaced with the same item in a different size. Shipping costs will apply for postage of the exchanged or replaced items.

Please note that some pieces (such as those with unique stones or features) may not be replaceable or resizable. It’s always best to be sure that the size is correct before proceeding with the order. If you’re uncertain, perhaps consider a gift certificate instead. Check out our returns and exchanges policy for more information.

“Can I return or exchange a custom order?”

Many of our custom orders are created through extensive consultation and take a lot more time and effort than standard production pieces. As they’re made specifically to the requirements of the customer, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. However we’re highly committed to ensuring that each piece that leaves the workshop is produced to a high standard and meets or exceeds expectations.

Payment options

“What payment options do you accept?”

We process all payments through PayPal, which allows you to pay instantly and securely using your credit card, debit card or a linked bank account.

“Are my details secure?”

Yes, your details are always secure. During the payment process, your information is securely encrypted by PayPal and protected at every step of the way. We never see your bank account numbers or credit card details. Find out more about how PayPal protects your information.

“Do you have any other payment options?”

If your bank is in Australia, we’re happy to process payments via bank transfer. Note that your order won’t be made or posted until we receive your payment in our bank account, so make sure to allow a few extra days (in addition to the processing time and shipping time) for the payment to come through. To organise payment via bank transfer please contact us and remember to include a link to the product you’d like to purchase along with your shipping address.
